Become a trustee

Autistic Parents UK, the fully user-led charity supporting Autistic parents, is seeking dedicated individuals who would like to make a difference and join our Board of Trustees. This is a chance to contribute your skills, expertise and vision to an organisation committed to supporting and empowering Autistic parents and their families. 

 

We currently have openings for these trustee roles/responsibilities: 

• Secretary

• Treasurer

• Funding Lead

• Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Lead

 

As a Trustee with Autistic Parents UK, you will play a pivotal role in guiding the strategic direction of our charity, ensuring that our services and initiatives have a lasting positive impact. Your knowledge and experience will help shape policies, drive strategies with lasting impact and expand our reach. 

 

Here's what you can expect as a Trustee:

 

• Governance and Leadership: Collaborate with fellow Trustees to provide strategic oversight, contribute to steering our outreach and upholding the highest standards of governance.

 

• Strategy and Planning: Contribute to the development and implementation of our strategic plans, envisioning the future of Autistic Parents UK and aligning our goals with the evolving needs of the Autistic community, and the efficient use of resources to maximise our impact.

 

• Advocacy and Partnerships: Champion the interests of autistic parents, forge partnerships with key stakeholders, and advocate for positive change at local, regional, and national levels.

 

• Fundraising and Development: Support our fundraising efforts by identifying opportunities, expertise and contributing to the sustainability and growth of our charity.

 

By becoming a Trustee with Autistic Parents UK, you will join a dedicated team of passionate individuals who are Autistic parents themselves and committed to making a tangible difference in the lives of other Autistic parents. This is an opportunity to use your expertise to shape policies, guide strategy and expand our services.
